Photo Print Mounted on Aluminium
A giclée print on paper, mounted to an aluminium composite panel, with a sub-frame fixed behind it. That hidden rail is why a large piece hangs flat and stays flat, and with no frame or glazing nothing sits between you and the image. You get the picture running to the edge, and no glazing to catch the room in.

Nothing on the wall but the picture
No frame, no mount, no glazing — nothing between you and the work. The print is mounted to an aluminium composite panel, and a sub-frame is fixed behind the panel, so it hangs on the wall and stays flat.
Materials & construction
- Printed by giclée — 12 pigment inks on fine art paper, so the colour on the wall is the colour in your file.
- The printed sheet is mounted to the composite panel across its full width — no air layer in between, so the surface stays clean and flat and cannot blister or wrinkle.
- An aluminium sub-frame sits behind the panel — it is there to keep the piece flat over the years, and to give the hangers something to hold.
- No frame, no mount, no glazing — nothing stands between the viewer and the work.
- Hanging hardware ships with the piece, matched by weight to the size you ordered, and fits without special tools.

In the box: the finished panel — the print is already mounted to the composite board, with the sub-frame on the back. Hangers included; screws and wall plugs are not, so please have those ready for your wall.

Which paper
- Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta 315gsm — heavier, with more gloss and more depth in the blacks. The usual choice for colour work.
- Fantac 120gsm Self-adhesive Matte Paper — a flat, low-glare surface. Good for black and white, and for walls you look at from an angle.
Recommended for
Exhibition and gallery work, photographic exhibitions, and anywhere you would rather not have a frame, a mount or reflective glazing between the viewer and the work.
Good to know
- It is one piece. The panel, the print and the sub-frame are made as a unit, so the image cannot be changed later.
- Aluminium composite panels have a thin edge. A knock can mark a corner, and it cannot be repaired the way a wooden frame can.
- Large panels are heavy. Check the fixing and the wall before you hang it.
- No glazing means no protection from the room: keep it out of direct sun, away from a kitchen or bathroom, and do not rub the surface — it marks easily.
- Baryta papers have a delicate surface. Do not wipe them; dust with a soft brush.
- Hangers are included, but screws and wall plugs are not — please have those ready for your wall.
