Materials & construction
- Aluminium frame — aluminium does not rust, so it holds up better than wood or steel
- Mitred corners, joined at the factory — it arrives as a finished frame, not a kit you assemble yourself
- Brushed finish — fine parallel grain, matte rather than glossy
- A narrow face, 10 mm wide — more delicate, and it does not compete with the work
- Clear acrylic glazing (standard) — unlike glass, it does not shatter in transit or on the wall
- Back panel and clips as one unit — open and close it by hand, no tools
- Two finishes: Matt Champagne and Matt Black — both easy to live with

Available as upgrades
- Mount Board — not included as standard; order one if you want a border, and because it decides whether the glazing rests on the surface of your print or not. Ours is Munken board at conservation grade, in 1.4 mm, 1.7 mm and 2.0 mm.
- Acrylic — clear acrylic comes as standard. It holds the print clear of the surface, but it reflects light and does not filter UV. Available as an upgrade: Anti-Reflective Acrylic ARP05 — reflection down to 1.40%, so most of the reflection is gone, and 99.80% of UV blocked. Choose it if the frame will hang where light falls across it — and choose it if you want the print to still look the same in a few years.
- Both the mount card and the anti-reflective glazing can be added when you order.
Recommended for
Photographs, posters and exhibition prints you expect to change over time — one frame that goes with many pictures, not a single-use one.
Good to know
- Two finishes: Matt Champagne and Matt Black. The photographs are of the actual frames, but a screen shows colour a little differently from the metal — that difference is hard to avoid.
- Because the back opens and closes, dust gets in over the years. Take the print out and clean the inside of the acrylic with a microfibre cloth.
- Wipe the aluminium with a dry cloth. Acrylic: microfibre cloth and water only.
