Anti-Reflective Acrylic ARP05
Moth-eye anti-reflective acrylic in the ARP05 grade, 3 mm. Reflection 1.40%, light transmission 98.60%, and 99.80% of UV blocked — UV is one of the main causes of fading, so the print fades more slowly. You see the photograph instead of the ceiling lights and the window.

You see the work, not the ceiling lights and the window
Put ordinary glazing in front of a photograph and you also frame the ceiling lights, the window and yourself. This is moth-eye acrylic: reflection drops to 1.40%, and it blocks 99.80% of UV. It does two things: you see the picture clearly, and the picture lasts longer.

Materials & construction
- Moth-eye anti-reflective acrylic, grade ARP05, 3 mm.
- Reflection: 1.40% — head-on, you barely see the lights, the window or your own reflection.
- Light transmission: 98.60% — almost all the light passes through, so the colours do not darken because of the acrylic.
- UV blocked: 99.80% — UV is everywhere; the panel keeps most of it off the work, so fading, yellowing and embrittlement slow down.
- Hard-coated surface, rated for ordinary cleaning, but use a cleaner made for acrylic.
- Anti-static — it does not pull dust the way plain acrylic does.
- Ten times the impact strength of ordinary glass. And about half the weight of glass of the same size, and far less likely to break in transit.
- RoHS compliant, and tested to ISO 18916 for photographic activity.
| In the box: the ARP05 anti-reflective acrylic panel, 3 mm, cut to the size you order — other sizes and shapes on request. No frame, no backing, no artwork. This is a glazing sheet, to replace one or to build with. |

For the work you want seen more clearly — in an exhibition, or on a wall at home — so the viewer sees the picture and not the window in it.
And for the artwork or the treasured photograph you want to last, rather than watch its colour fade year by year.

Good to know
- "Anti-reflective" is not invisible. If you look from the side, or if a very bright light sits directly opposite, you will see a purple reflection. That is the nature of this kind of anti-reflective material, not a fault.
- It greatly slows the yellowing and embrittlement that UV causes, but it cannot stop it entirely. Visible light and heat act as well — keep the piece out of long spells of direct sun.
- It is acrylic, not glass. Lighter and much harder to break, but it scratches easily — keep abrasive cloths away from it.
- Clean with a microfibre cloth. If you need more than water, spritz a little ammonia-free glass cleaner onto the cloth, never onto the surface. Abrasives and solvents must be kept away — damage to the film on the surface cannot be undone.
- This material comes in other grades, with different UV figures — the numbers here are the ARP05 grade.
